Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Shabramant Factory

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for mechanical equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose mechanical issues with equipment, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Equipment Upgrades & Modifications: Evaluate, design, and oversee modifications to improve equipment performance and energy efficiency.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with health, safety, and environmental standards and regulations.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, and generate reports to track equipment performance metrics.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior maintenance staff, providing guidance and technical expertise and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for spare parts, service contracts, and specialized repairs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase equipment reliability, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
  • Budget Management: Assist in preparing the maintenance department’s budget and manage expenditures for repairs and spare parts within approved limits.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Professional Engineering (PE) license or certification is a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance engineering, with a proven track record in a senior or supervisory role, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, or plant environment.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment; proficient in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and familiar with tools like AutoCAD.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to diagnose complex mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact with team members, vendors, and cross-functional departments.
