Logistics Specialist

Job Purpose:
The Logistics Specialist will oversee and optimize the logistics operations to ensure seamless supply chain processes, efficient transportation, and timely delivery of goods while maintaining cost efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Logistics Coordination:
    • Manage and coordinate daily transportation and logistics operations.
    • Follow up on the shipping process, documentation, and tracking.
    • Handle distribution of FMCG products to ensure timely deliveries.
  2. Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
    • Monitor stock levels to ensure adequate inventory.
    • Collaborate with warehouses to streamline inbound and outbound operations.
  3. Vendor and Carrier Management:
    • Communicate with transport providers to negotiate rates and monitor performance.
    • Solve any delivery or shipping issues promptly.
  4. Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Analyze logistics KPIs and generate regular performance reports.
    • Recommend improvements to optimize logistics processes.
  5. Compliance and Documentation:
    • Ensure all shipments comply with company policies and local regulations.
    • Manage required logistics documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and delivery notes.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year in logistics, preferably in FMCG companies.
  • Location: 6th of October City or nearby areas (preferred).
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel).
    • Knowledge of logistics software and ERP systems is a plus.
  • Other:
    • Male candidates are preferred.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
