About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Microbiology Section Head to lead and manage the microbiology laboratory operations in compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards. The ideal candidate will have 8 to 10 years of experience in microbiology, with a strong background in pharmaceutical manufacturing, ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and microbiological control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee all microbiological testing and quality control activities to ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and international regulations.

• Develop, validate, and implement microbiological testing methods for raw materials, finished products, and environmental monitoring.

• Supervise and manage the microbiology team, ensuring training and development in microbiological best practices.

• Ensure sterility assurance programs and contamination control strategies are effectively implemented.

• Conduct investigations for microbiological deviations, out-of-specification (OOS) results, and environmental monitoring excursions.

• Collaborate with QA, QC, and production teams to maintain high-quality standards and resolve microbiological concerns.

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in microbiology, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

• Prepare and maintain documentation, reports, and records as per regulatory and company guidelines.

Requirements:

✔️ Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
✔️ 8-10 years of experience in a pharmaceutical microbiology lab, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
✔️ Deep knowledge of GMP, GLP, FDA, and other regulatory guidelines related to pharmaceutical microbiology.
✔️ Hands-on experience in sterility testing, bioburden testing, endotoxin testing, and environmental monitoring.
✔️ Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
✔️ Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English.
